One quick note: We always use a lean ground beef for grilling burgers. We prefer the flavor and texture much more than a fattier mix. We try to never go above 10% fat because beyond that, the greasy flavor begins to overpower the meat itself. We like for all the flavors to blend in, which is why this burger works so well!
Jalapeno Feta Burgers
Ingredients:
93/7 Ground beef
Pickled jalapenos, finely chopped
Feta cheese, crumbled
Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper
Hamburger buns
Hamburger buns
Instructions:
Put the beef in a large bowl, add a few dashes of worchestershire sauce, and a good sprinkle of salt and pepper (to taste). Combine the mixture well with a spoon or your hands {I use my hands}, then add the jalapenos and feta cheese and combine well. The amount added depends on your personal preference*...I'll explain below. Our meat looks like this after all the ingredients are combined well.
Shape pieces of the meat into patties. Place a thumbprint in the center of each patty, which will help the burgers from shriveling up on the grill.
*The amount of jalapenos and feta added is your personal preference. Example: For 2 lbs of meat, we use about 3 oz feta and 1/3 cup of chopped jalapenos.
Grill until the internal temperature of the burgers reaches at least 160 degrees. This is the lowest temperature for which you can safely enjoy your meat. Make sure to only turn the burgers once on the grill and not to press down on the meat. Doing these things will create a nice exterior sear and help hold in the juices.

We enjoy our burgers with barbecue sauce, which creates an amazing combination! Writing this makes me want one RIGHT.NOW.
